We love to take part in - and sponsor - many local events at any time of the year that improve family and children's lives, educate local residents, and generally offer a helping hand in any way we can. Connecting our Community

Some of our favorite events that take place in the Utica area are geared at educating the youth in our area. One of the events we sponsor and donate to each year is the New Hartford Fire Department Fire Truck Spectacular every year at the New Hartford Shopping Center. All local Fire Departments are invited to come with their best trucks. It's a great way for all local towns and cities to participate, get to know each other, and for local residents to learn about fire safety! Insurance Agents are always on hand to go over options, the smokehouse is always staffed to show children (and adults!) what to do in the event of a fire, and car seat safety checks are also provided.

Another community involved educational event we sponsor each year is the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute Antique Car & Motorcycle Event held at the end of the week long Summer Arts Festival. The Arts Festival and the Car Show are both free events that welcome anyone of all ages to enjoy the local art from artists in many of the MWPAI art programs. The Car Show has been going on for over 30 years now, and draws hundreds of people to the historic grounds of the museum and Fountain Elms.

New Hartford Memorial Day Parade & New Hartford Farmer's Market

The New Hartford Memorial Day Parade & Farmer's Market is so much fun for everyone involved! We love participating in the parades every year. It's a great way for all of us to get into the community, show off our vehicles, and end at the New Hartford Fire Department for refreshments and tours afterwards during the Memorial Day Parade. Memorial Day is also the kick off to the New Hartford Farmer's Market, which we proudly are the Entertainment sponsors, bringing local acts to the weekly farmer' market held in the Village Green in New Hartford, NY!

Boilermaker Road Race Pace Cars

For the 2nd year in a row, we are the official Pace Car sponsors for the annual Boilermaker Road Race held right here in Utica, NY! Check out our Nissan Frontier this year in the 2025 road race!

Utica Zoo

Our Auto Group is proud to support our area's local Zoo for the 2025 year! Our sponsorship will go towards educational events that the Zoo holds, as well as their signature events like the family friendly Halloween Spooktacular!

Giving Back During the Holidays

Each November, we put drop boxes in each of our showrooms to collect food donations for our Annual Steet Ponte Auto Group Thanksgiving Food Drive. Each year, the food goes to a different non-profit organization the day before Thanksgiving. In years past, we have donated to The Rescue Mission, Feed Our Vets, The Hope House, The Thea Bowman House, Johnson Park Center, and the Utica Food Pantry to name a few!

When winter comes, we hold an Annual Coats for Kids coat drive to donate coats, hats, mittens, and cold weather clothing to local schools in our area. Our goal is to stuff a Nissan Frontier in our showroom with donations to help children in need stay warm during the harsh CNY winter months! In years past, we have donated directly to the Utica and Rome, NY elementary school districts, as well as to Connected Community School program.
