Steet Ponte Nissan: A Family Business With Central New York Roots
Steet Ponte Nissan is part of the Steet Ponte Auto Group, a locally owned and operated family business with roots in Central New York dating back to 1945. Today, the group operates dealerships throughout Oneida, Herkimer and Fulton Counties, with multiple generations of the Steet and Ponte families involved in the business.
1945 — Where It Started
United Auto Sales is founded by brothers Joseph G. and Thomas Steet.
1997 — Steet & Ponte Join Forces
Joe Steet Sr. and Steve Ponte Sr. purchase what is now Steet Toyota of Yorkville.
2003–2013 — The Group Grows
Chevrolet, Ford, Lincoln, Toyota of Johnstown, Volkswagen and Mazda join the group.
2021 — Steet Ponte Nissan
Steet Ponte Nissan becomes part of the family of dealerships.
