Steet Ponte Auto Group Takes Team Spirit to the Ballpark

The start of a new school year is full of excitement, anticipation and plenty of preparation. At Steet Ponte Nissan, we’re proud to help make sure local students have one less thing to worry about! This year marked the 3rd Annual Steet Ponte Auto Group School Supplies & Backpack Drive, and together we were able to donate a total of 576 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students in our communities. Each backpack was filled with classroom necessities including folders, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, pencils and more. Steet Ponte Nissan, along with our fellow Steet Ponte stores on Commercial Drive, was proud to support students in the Utica City School District. We hope these backpacks help students head into the new school year feeling prepared, motivated and confident. We know that having the right supplies can be the first step toward having a great year! We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and support the students who will help shape the future of our community. The Steet Ponte Auto Group was honored to once again serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the annual New Hartford Fire Truck Spectacular, one of Central New York's most exciting and family-friendly summer events. Each year, this incredible event brings together firefighters, families, and community members from across the region for a day dedicated to celebrating the men and women who serve our local communities. Best of all, the Fire Truck Spectacular is completely free to attend, making it an event that everyone can enjoy. The popularity of the event continues to grow every year. In fact, attendance has become so impressive that this year's Fire Truck Spectacular was held in the Sangertown Square Mall parking lot, providing plenty of room for the thousands of visitors who came out to experience everything the event had to offer. Guests had the opportunity to explore an impressive collection of fire trucks from departments throughout Central New York, each showcasing the equipment and vehicles that help keep our communities safe. One of the event's most popular attractions was the interactive smokehouse, where children and families learned valuable fire safety lessons in a fun and engaging environment. The day's festivities also included live entertainment, delicious local food trucks, and exciting firefighter competitions that highlighted the teamwork, strength, and skill required in the fire service. From start to finish, there was something for every member of the family to enjoy. As the Presenting Sponsor, Steet Ponte Auto Group was proud to showcase a diverse lineup of vehicles representing several of our dealerships. Visitors had the opportunity to explore some of the newest models from across our brands, speak with members of our team, and learn more about what each of our dealerships has to offer. More importantly, we were grateful to support an event that celebrates the dedication of our local firefighters while bringing the community together for a day of fun, education, and appreciation. Supporting organizations and events that make Central New York a better place to live, work, and raise a family is something we're incredibly passionate about, and the New Hartford Fire Truck Spectacular is a perfect example of that commitment. At Steet Ponte Nissan, we're proud to once again sponsor the Utica Blue Sox and support America's favorite pastime right here in the Mohawk Valley. Recently, we had the opportunity to bring our partnership with the Blue Sox a little closer to home by hosting a friendly Home Run Derby right here at Steet Ponte Nissan! The competition featured four talented Utica Blue Sox players facing off against four members of our dealership team in a fun-filled showdown that combined a little friendly rivalry with plenty of laughs. While our team gave it everything we had, the Blue Sox showed exactly why they're one of the premier collegiate baseball teams in the region, ultimately earning a 13-9 victory. We'll gladly tip our caps to them this round! The morning was packed with great swings, friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of memorable moments. Most importantly, it gave us a chance to celebrate the sport we all love while strengthening our partnership with an organization that brings so much excitement to our community each summer. As a proud sponsor of the Utica Blue Sox, we love finding ways to support the team both on and off the field. Events like this help connect local businesses, athletes, and fans while showcasing the positive impact sports have throughout the Mohawk Valley. The Blue Sox continue to provide a tremendous opportunity for collegiate athletes to develop their skills and entertain baseball fans from across the region.
